Participating in the Washington University Cannabis Effects Genomic Study involves just 3 steps and takes about 10-15 minutes:

(1) Review and agree to the Informed Consent Document.

Begin by reading the consent document. You may download a copy and discuss it with friends or family. If you have questions, please check the Frequently Asked Questions page or contact the study team.

(2) Complete a brief (< 5 minute) online survey about yourself and your cannabis, nicotine, and alcohol use.

You may skip questions you prefer not to answer.

(3) Share your 23andMe or AncestryDNA genetic data

You may upload your genetic data yourself after downloading it from 23andMe or Ancestry.com, or you may authorize the study to obtain your genetic data directly from 23andMe by entering your 23andMe username and password. The study will not retain your username and password after the data is obtained.

To be eligible to participate, you must be at least 18 years old and a customer of 23andMe or Ancestry with DNA testing.
